Once you have successfully configured your device you will be ready to connect to the UOBWLAN wireless network.
The following example shows the connection of a Windows XP laptop.

Right Click the Wireless Network Icon in the System Tray and select View Available Wireless Networks.

Select UOBWLAN and Click the Connect button.

A bubble will appear off the System Tray asking you to enter your credentials. Click the bubble to open the Enter Credentials logon window.

Enter your Active Directory Username and Password. Enter ADF as the Logon Domain and Click OK.

After a short while another bubble will appear off the System Tray asking you to confirm your logon details. Click the bubble to open the Validate Server Certificate window. The server you should have reached will be either israd1.adf.bham.ac.uk or israd2.adf.bham.ac.uk, if either of these is shown, confirm it is correct by clicking OK.
Note: Any other server name appearing should be treated suspiciously; clients should not attempt to authenticate against them but should instead make a note of the server details and report to the Helpdesk.

A message should appear off the System Tray informing you that you are connected to UOBWLAN. You should now be able to access the network.
Note
Once you have successfully connected your credentials are written to the registry, any future connections are made automatically in the background and are transparent to the user.
See Microsoft KB823731 for information about removing cached credentials - (use at your own risk).
