The University of Birmingham is currently a participating member of the JANET Roaming Service (JRS).
The JRS provides an infrastructure that allows users, whether local or guest, to use their own credentials to gain network access (primarily wireless) at participating organisations.
Prior to attempting a connection to the wireless network, visitors should first read the Wireless Network Policy document.
The JRS access is available over the universities Authenticated Wireless Network in the following locations.
The Service Set Identifier (SSID) for JRS access is eduroam.
