Important changes to the university wireless network service
IT Services has released a new wireless service called UOBwifi. For security purposes, this new wireless network will utilise the certificate service provided by JANET(UK). For a short period UOBwifi will run in parallel with the current wireless network service UOBWLAN. This should enable sufficient time for existing wireless users to configure their devices for use on the new network. In August 2010 UOBWLAN will be decommissioned.
Further details, including configuration instructions for various client devices will be posted on these web pages shortly. Documentation on how to connect can be found in the Configuration section of this website.
IT Services recommends that wireless clients should move over to the new network service (UOBwifi) as soon as is practicable.
